White Heart Foundation's
Guardian Project Banner

I received an initial rough outline in Canva, offering a basic structure for the Guardian Project’s banner. I began by carefully reviewing this draft to understand both the visual intent and the deeper mission: conveying the importance of this program's impact through eco-therapy for American heroes.

Visual brand doesn't have enough contrast with background.

Various design mistakes strewn about that need cleaning up.

Basic brush masking effect that Canva offers gets the idea across, but doesn't convey the grittiness these veterans survived.

Overall message isn't visually communicated to the extent that viewers will relate to.

I reworked the layout to create a more impactful and cohesive visual message. Every design element - from imagery to typography to spacing - was fine-tuned to emphasize the pain of the past, purpose in the future and the healing through adventure that the Guardian Project offers.

I selected design elements that communicate strength, driven attitudes and transformation - such as natural textures, earthy tones, and the brand's color palette. The goal was to create a visual atmosphere that reflects both the gravity of veterans' experiences and the hope that eco-therapy brings.

I ensured that the final banner remained consistent with White Heart Foundation’s branding while also evoking the emotional depth of the project. Text hierarchy, color adjustments, and photo placements were carefully chosen to guide the viewer's eye and evoke connection.

The final vertical banner is clean, compelling, and visually balanced—ready to represent the Guardian Project in public spaces with clarity and honor, drawing supporters into the mission with both professionalism and heart.
